Introduction

The Brisbane Clans Pipes and Drums is a Grade 4 band in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We are proud to wear the Queensland tartan and compete in local competitions, perform in public places, and have an active social calendar of events at which we perform.

We practise at the Embroidery Guild building, 149 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley, on Thursday nights 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

We are always looking for new members. We need:

Pipers
Tenor Drummers
Side Drummers
Social Members

We have a good social club of non-playing members who support the band at many formal and informal functions, events, and competitions.

Farewell Band Members

In 2011, we sadly lost some of our members and friends. It is with regret that we must inform of the passing of Bill Sharpe, long-serving member and past Pipe Major of our band. Bill succumbed to cancer on 26 Mar 2011. His wife Nessie also joined Bill a couple of months later.

This year we also lost Bert Wyse and Innes Barker, both long time supporters of the band. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of our departed members.

May they rest in peace.
